Meet Gambit, a very handsome and dignified kitty who came to our rescue from Catawba County Animal Care and Control in NC, along with his sisters, Storm, Phoenix and Sprite. Just about 11 weeks old, Gambit is a sweet, but shy and quiet boy who likes to sit back and observe what's going on around him. He loves to play with his siblings, but he prefers to interact with them, as well as with his humans, on his own terms. Gambit has gradually started coming out of his shell in his foster home, though, and his foster mom believes that with a little time and patience, this little gentleman will become someone's best friend.

Gambit is good with other cats and dogs, just as long as his introductions to them are not rushed. He hasn't had any exposure to children, but he would probably do well with them, too (although because of his rather reserved nature, he would do best in a home with children over the age of 10).

Gambit has tested negative for FeLV/FIV and will soon be up to date on all of his shots. He will also be neutered once he is old enough.

Gambit must be adopted with another kitten, unless the adopter already has a cat. He will be available for adoption on July 21st.
