Introducing Finn, a stunningly beautiful Maine Coon mix kitten! This big, 9-month-old boy came to us from the Rockbridge SPCA in Virginia, where he had been surrendered by his previous owners because they had too many cats. When Finn arrived at his foster home two months ago, he was extremely shy and spent most of his time hiding, only venturing out to eat and drink and use his litter box. However, with time and patience on the part of his foster parents, he has made giant strides, and he is almost a completely different kitty! Finn now purrs like a freight train whenever he’s around his foster parents and solicits attention from them, rubbing up against them and enjoying head scratches and back rubs. He has also discovered the joy of kitty toys and actively plays with them (whereas before, he would ignore them).

Finn’s foster parents believe that his behavior changed thanks, in large part, because of the young resident cat, who acted almost like a mentor to him and showed him that the world wasn’t such a big, scary place, after all. Therefore, Finn’s foster parents are requiring that he be adopted into a home that already has a kitten or playful adult cat so that he can continue learning how to be comfortable in his own shell.

Aside from being good with other cats, Finn also seems to be fine with dogs. He would probably be okay with kids over the age of 10, as well. Finn is already neutered and up to date on his shots, and he has tested negative for FeLV/FIV, too. He also uses the litter box like a good boy!

Finn is located in Burke, VA. If you are interested in adopting him, please fill out an adoption application for him on our web site: http://www.omcrescue.org/form/adoption_application.php.
