Sally is a sweet 17 year old pure bred Maine Coon without papers. She was given up, along with her sister, by her owner who was terminal. Sally came to OMC with a thyroid condition and was immediately put on meds. ( her sister was also diagnosed with thyroid and put on meds, but unfortunately had a horrible reaction and her liver failed and she passed away)

Sally likes attention and will often seek out humans for lots of pets and scratches. She takes her meds 2 times a day and is cooperative. She can be picked up and likes to be brushed. Her long hair will require human attention and this will also be a great bonding experience. There are no issues with the other foster cat in the room. She would do best in a quieter home where she can enjoy her senior years. She is pretty healthy otherwise.

We are working on helping her gain back some weight now that she is on the thyroid meds.
