Only Maine Coons Rescue

Louie and Peanut came into rescue on 1/16/21 from the same shelter. 

 

Confident, curious, playful and affectionate best described Louie. He loves to sit on the window sill. He has frequently jumped the baby gate that is used to contain the foster cats to explore the rest of the foster home. He has shown no fear of the resident dogs and cats and entering new rooms. 

 

Peanut is shy and reserved but has blossomed with patience and time. He is very attached to his foster mom and when he wants attention he is very persistent about receiving it. He loves to snuggle, play and he is at times very vocal. When he and his foster mates are allowed into another room in the foster home his insecurity intensifies and he runs from his foster family if they try to pet him. Once back in the foster room his confidence resumes. The foster family is working on increasing his confidence in new environments. 

 

Both cats have had positive interactions with visitors outside of the foster family and they especially love the children who visit and play with the cats.

 

Louie and Peanut have bonded with one another. They like to play together and snuggle. Louie is also an asset to Peanut in helping him feel more confident. Both cats must be adopted together.
