Attention Tortie-lovers! Have we got the girl for you! Beautiful 1-year old MacKenzie is a Maine Coon mix who came into rescue with her three tiny kittens. She was the best mama ever to her kittens, always playing with them and protecting them. Now that her babies have all been adopted, she is ready for a forever family of her very own.

MacKenzie has blossomed into a sweet young lady who loves to be with her people. She follows her foster mom around, wanting to be involved with everything (even cleaning the litter box). She is a world-class cuddler, especially at night, when she can’t wait to hop into her human’s bed for a good night’s sleep. If she isn’t getting quite as much attention as she might like, she will give a little head-bump and reach up with her paw to touch her foster mom’s face for a little extra snuggle and kiss. She is a smart cookie, too, and will even come when her name is called.

MacKenzie gets along with other cats and has taken some time but adjusted nicely with a family canine companion.

MacKenzie has been spayed, is up-to-date on her vaccinations, and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. She had litter box issues during her first few months in rescue, medical reasons where ruled out and it was determined by a veterinarian to be a behavioral issue, once placed on kitty Prozac she started using the litter box again and has ever since.
